Lane County Jail Roster Scope

The official Lane County inmate records search is the Lane County Web Jail Viewer, which the sheriff's jail page also calls the AIC Viewer. It is a free, no-login search hosted through the EIS JMS Web Jail Viewer platform. The county says the viewer covers offenders who are currently in Lane County Jail custody. If a person does not appear, Lane County says the person is not currently held at its facility. That is an important limit because the viewer no longer serves as a public archive of prior lodgings.

Lane County inmate records on the jail viewer are not the same as Oregon Department of Corrections records, federal BOP records, or ICE detention records. The Lane County roster is for local jail custody, including pretrial defendants and sentenced local offenders. The county also lists municipal jail contacts for Springfield, Cottage Grove, Florence, and Junction City. Springfield has its own Web Jail Viewer, while the other municipal jail contacts found in the county source are phone-based contacts rather than separate public roster portals.

Use Lane County Inmate Search

The Lane County jail roster accepts name and booking-date criteria. The form instructions allow any single field or a combination of fields, so an exact first and last name is not required before a search can start. If the spelling is uncertain, the portal permits the percent sign as a wildcard at the start, middle, or end of a name. The result page can then be sorted by booking number, name, race, sex, booking date, release date, and scheduled release date.

1. Open the Lane County Web Jail Viewer booking search form.
2. Search by last name first if only a surname is known. Use the percent sign for partial spelling.
3. Add the first name or booking-date range when the results are too broad.
4. Select Search, then review the result table and the Total Candidates count.

Lane County inmate records can carry a status banner, booking identifiers, custody dates, personal description fields, charge blocks, arrest agency data, court case fields, and bond or bail fields. The detail layout also has a photo cell area, but Lane County says mugshots have been removed from the public site under Oregon's booking-photo law; the photo-specific limits are handled under Lane County jail mugshots.

Those labels are useful when comparing a roster entry with the later court case, because the arresting agency charge may not match the final filed charge.

Lane County Booking Process

Lane County Jail serves as the intake and release center for sheriff's custody. Lane County Records Requests

When the roster does not answer the question, Lane County inmate records may need to be requested through a records channel. The jail page points users to the sheriff's records portal and Corrections Division request form for jail records, law-enforcement accounts, and booking-photo requests allowed by law. Lane County Jail Facilities

The primary facility is Lane County Jail / Lane County Adult Corrections in Eugene. Lane County says it is the only jail in the county that can hold felony-level defendants. Springfield Municipal Jail has its own facility and search system. Cottage Grove, Florence, and Junction City are listed by Lane County as municipal jail or police/jail contacts, but the research did not locate separate official roster pages, capacities, or schedules for those city contacts.

Lane County Visitation Schedule

Lane County visitation changed effective Saturday, June 20, 2026. The jail hub states social visiting now occurs at designated times Monday through Friday, and weekend visiting is no longer available. For a friend or family member's visiting time, Lane County tells the public to speak with the Reception Officer or call 541-682-4263. The visiting rules page also advises calling between 7:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., excluding holidays, because times and days can change.

Lane County Inmate Contact

Lane County uses Smart Communications for mail, phone accounts, video, messages, and tablet access. Regular AIC postal mail is scanned into the system and made available through a tablet or housing-area kiosk. Mail is addressed to Smart Communications / Lane County Adult Corrections Facility, the adult in custody name and ID number, c/o Mail Processing Center, PO Box 9225, Seminole, FL 33775-9225. Lane County policy does not pass messages to AICs, so correspondence must go through the approved channels.

Lane County does not accept funds over the counter at reception or through the mail for AIC trust accounts, except funds deposited during booking are not charged a fee.
